And it’s a wrap! Turns out participating in a big comic book festival in Toronto is waaaaay more fun when you don’t have a 3 week old baby strapped to your chest! I’m so glad I went back alone, six years later, and had a much more thorough experience of what the festival had to offer.

I signed books, I participated in panels, I met relatives of Yellowknife friends, I brought home a bunch of comic books.

I also met up with old friends I hadn’t seen in over a decade, I walked around Toronto alone, I stayed in a fancy hotel room, I ate a bunch of food we don’t have in Yellowknife, I attended a bunch of panels and presentations, I saw no end of great work by no end of great artists and, most importantly, I made a whole bunch of new friends!

A big thanks to TCAF - The Toronto Comic Arts Festival for having me and for putting on such a great event!

I am deeply grateful to be living and creating on Chief Drygeese territory which has, from time immemorial, been the traditional land of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation.
