May, 2025 A quick May update - What a whirlwind of a month! I came home from giving workshops in Hay River, went straight to a long weekend of camping with the kids... and then straight on to the next big aventure : The Stockholm International Comics Festival! A very quick summary of a very amazing week : I got up at some insane time, was in transit between Yellowknife and Stockholm for 24 hours, was grateful it was just me and no kids, felt miserable because I was going so far for so long without the kids, stayed on a boat hotel for the duration of my stay in Stockholm, had a great time at the Stockholm International Comics Festival @serieteket with fellow @conundrumpress author Katarina Thorsen @poststreet (check out her amazing new book!!), wandered around Stockholm, made some art inspired by the cool Swedish art I saw at the festival, missed home, found rocks that looked like home and felt better, came home… and then it was Northwords Writers Festival!

A big thanks to the Stockholm International Comics Festival for inviting me, to Conundrum Press for getting all those books there, and to the @canada.council for the Arts for the travel funding!

I am deeply grateful to be living and creating on Chief Drygeese territory which has, from time immemorial, been the traditional land of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation.
